THE ATLANTIC | A FAMILY STORY

This limited release book is a celebration of our family business The Atlantic Byron Bay. What started as a stylish keepsake album for my partner Stephen and our boys to reflect on our journey together, has morphed into a family design story, spanning 280 pages, over 500 images and twenty years of history. 

This is the evolution of our family homes – from run-down backpackers to the versions that stand today – plus the lessons we learnt along the way and the resilience gained from unexpected events, sharing our mistakes, solutions, and design inspiration. Each chapter acknowledges and embraces the history of not only the houses, but also the people that made The Atlantic what it is, from the creatives, thinkers, musicians and makers, to guests that became friends and friends that became family.

The Atlantic has been far more than a hotel, it’s been a place for connection, creativity, collaboration and community – from surf festivals, to food, music and literary events, and artist residencies.

We hope along the way we may have inspired others to live a lifestyle of good times.
